•Students will collect statistical data from their community to map the increase in PC penetration over the past 5 years. They will also collect data on the increase in use of other domestic gadgets, and whether concern for environment is a factor considered while investing in technology.
Class IX Activity.
Activity Topic: Survey on usage of Household gadgets and analysis of data on how technology is impacting the environment.
Through this activity, students of Class IX were sensitized on Environment problems being faced by the world today and how technology is affecting it. All the 4 sections chose peers and formed groups of 3-4 students each. Each group discussed and developed questionnaire on how increasing use of gadgets in houses these days is affecting the environment. Students analyzed data after the survey, created charts, discussed the learnings with the teachers.
As a result of this activity, there was a great learning amongst the entire group of 160 students of Class IX so as to how gadgets and other technologies should be used so that the environment is not harmed and each one is responsible to make this earth a better place to live.
