International School Award
In the academic session 2014-15 Mata Jai Kaur Public School had initiated the process to instill the global dimension into the learning experience and registered for the British Council International School Award (ISA).
The British Council offers the International School Award (ISA) as an accreditation framework for schools to record and evaluate their international work which is reflected in every facet of the curriculum and the holistic outlook of the school.
The portfolio submitted by the school after successfully completing several international projects and activities has been approved and accredited by the British Council and Mata Jai Kaur Public School has been successfully awarded with the British Council International School Award for the period 2015-18.
ISA provides a framework for schools to develop an action plan and implement international activities throughout the year, and encourages schools to collaborate with overseas schools to create a rich learning experience for students through use of ICT, creative pedagogical practices and real context for learning. International School Award recognises and celebrates exemplary practices of internationalism in schools.
